Got this myself on my phone, and it simply refused to update. Here's what worked for me.

Edit: this appears to be an issue that Facebook are aware of. It's an issue with the Facebook application, and also not a generalised Play Store problem.

This is what helped me a minimum of.

  1. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Shop, Clear information and also Clear cache

  2. Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Provider > Manage area, Clear all information and also Clear cache
