Got this myself on my phone, and it simply refused to upgrade. Below's what benefited me.

Edit: this seems to be a problem that Facebook understand. It's a problem with the Facebook application, and not a generalised Play Store problem.

This is what helped me a minimum of.

  1. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store, Clear data as well as Clear cache

  2. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Solutions > Manage area, Clear all data and also Clear cache


It doesn't injured if you reactivate your phone prior to you try updating facebook once again. And, the install was SLOW. Just a minimum of 4-5 minutes. However, it did job. If not attempt to uninstall it, or simply await a fix.
