Got this myself on my phone, and it just declined to upgrade. Here's what helped me.

Edit: this seems to be a concern that Facebook know. It's a concern with the Facebook app, and not a generalised Play Shop concern.

This is what benefited me a minimum of.

  1. Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Shop, Clear data and Clear cache

  2. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Solutions > Manage space, Clear all information and Clear cache


It does not harmed if you reboot your phone prior to you attempt updating facebook once more. As well as, the install was SLOW. Simply a minimum of 4-5 mins. Yet, it did job. If not try to uninstall it, or merely wait for a repair.
