What's Wrong With Facebook
Facebook went offline for numerous customers on Thursday, with the globe's most prominent social media telling customers that "something failed".
When visiting Facebook.com, rather than seeing the normal homescreen or news feed, customers were welcomed with a blank display and a brief mistake message.
" Sorry, something went wrong. We're servicing it and we'll get it dealt with as soon as we can," the message reads.
The interruption began at around 5.30 pm BST but, for a lot of users, appeared to have been fixed around 20 mins after.
Down Detector, which collects reports of prominent services being down, presented blackouts in the UK, Europe and also the United States.
Naturally, people took to Twitter to have their say.
The web site went down on Thursday afternoon and brief-ly appeared to function once more for some customers.
A representative for Facebook has said they are checking out what occurred.
Meanwhile, Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook president, went to an occasion placed on by Oculus, the virtual reality headset company Facebook possesses.
